Building Automation Programming Technician

A BAS Programmer (Field Technician) responsibilities include design review and implementing customer building automation projects. BAS Programmers will be put in a position to draw from the knowledge of Senior BAS Programmers. Day to day tasks will be determined by the specific requirements of each project. The future progression for this position is intended to evolve into a Senior BAS Programmer/Senior Field Technician.

  • Develop BAS and network architectures per client’s RFQ’s, project drawings and documentation
  • Design and propose controls hardware appropriate for a project based upon the above
  • Configure BAS control algorithms

BAS Application Engineer

The application engineer will be responsible for assisting project engineers, project managers, and technicians with application and product selection support. They will also use their technical expertise to advise internal and external customers. This position is required to closely interact with project engineers, project managers, salespeople, programmers, and assigned project staff to assist with the timely
completion of each project.

  • Responsible for building automation system design for new construction and retrofit projects
  • Interpret design drawings and specifications
  • Submittal development and preparation consisting of: control wiring diagrams, airflow diagrams,
    piping systems diagrams, BAS equipment selection, floor plan generation, sequence of operation,
    valve schedules, and damper schedules

BAS Sales Representative

Responsible for maintaining existing customer relationships and develop new customers while maintaining a positive working relationship with MEP’s and the construction chain.  This individual will be tasked to identify and sell building automation solutions that can help the client achieve their environmental, operational, financial, and people goals.

  • Works effectively in a team selling environment
  • Prospects to locate and develop relationships with new clients
  • Coordinates and attends site reviews as required

Building Automation System Project Estimator

As a BAS estimator you will be expected to operate independently, set priorities, and resolve competing needs to provide timely information and solve problems. This position will work closely with our sales team, project management team, engineering team, subcontractors, and suppliers. This position will focus on generating detailed cost estimates, creating bid scopes of work for both plan & spec and design build projects. Estimating tasks include material takeoff, equipment selection, development of cost estimate, development of engineering and field hours, and scope of work. You will read and interpret project plans and specifications and develop a complete estimate. This position combines the application of Controls/HVAC, Electrical/Lighting, Security, technical knowledge with the ability to efficiently develop cost estimates.

  • Review and evaluate invitations to bid, plans, and specifications to analyze project needs and understand scope of work, contract drawings and specifications.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings and conduct site visits, to verify existing conditions that inform your cost estimate for the project.
  • Provide clear and detailed cost estimates and quantity take offs from controls drawings or points lists.
