A Brief History of ModernControls

Today, we have over 150 employees and a fleet of over 100 service vehicles. But our beginnings were much smaller.

Back in 1988, Mike Peet was an HVAC service technician. Over and over, he found that customers were not receiving the customer service and technology they needed.

So Mike cleaned out his garage and started ModernControls. He focused on providing better service and state-of-the-art HVAC solutions for commercial facilities small and large.

It’s been quite a ride. Early on, I could see what clients needed and just decided to focus on that, service and technology—and our focus hasn’t changed throughout all these years.
